Design for Natural Disasters - Fire

To gain a perspective on how to build for floods, I think it is important to consider how you build specifically to counter the effects of a natural disaster, no matter what form that may come in.  I found an interesting page looking at a house developed not with first most intention of a fire-resistantance, but as a necessary design consideration.
